Have a conversation

Have a conversation with your partner and family. Since there are only a few guests allowed, discuss the importance of their health and safety. Know the rules of your religious institutions. It’s important to talk with the priest/pastor ahead of time about the norms and rules during the pandemic.

Know that most vendors are all taking precautions when it comes to trying on wedding dresses or stitching gowns. Some don’t allow trials due to hygiene reasons; hence will ask for your measurements to check whether the dress will be the right fit. Also take advantage of the various sales going on online for wedding gowns.

Getting ready

While getting ready it is important to know what precautions must be taken while getting ready for your big day too. Professionals such as make-up &hair artists and photographers must be in protective gear such as mask & gloves and make sure to keep a window open for air circulation.

At the church / religious institution

Keeping local Government authority guidelines in mind, precautions should be taken to not exceed the number of guests allowed at the wedding and proper social distancing and sanitization should be practiced.

Virtual Ceremony

Want to still involve guests who can’t make it from around the world? Use new innovative ways such as Zoom Meetings, YouTube livestreams, Google Meet etc.

Set up a registry for gifts

This is a western concept that’s slowly picking up and during these times it couldn’t be more convenient. Websites like Amazon, Wedding Wishlist, Wishtry all have wedding registries to help you select gifts you would like to receive.
