Well something borrowed as the line suggests, is an item that belongs to someone else like a pair of shoes borrowed from your bestie or handkerchief borrowed from your dad to wipe a tear. Something Borrowed was a phrase used to transfer luck from one to another. Also do remember you need to give it back 😉

Something Blue

The colour blue just like the Ocean symbolizes purity and life. It was also used to ward away the Evil Eye. Some brides like to use the colour blue as their colour scheme and have their bridesmaids and flower girls wearing shades of blue. Some brides like to add just a hint of blue, it could be a ribbon around the bouquet or a blue sash around her waist. Others like to conceal it and hide it under their dress like wearing a blue garter or hidden under the soles of her shoe.

Something Old

Something old is usually something sentimental belonging to your grandma, like a pair of earrings or your mum’s old purse. Did you know Princess Beatrice wore her Grandma Queen Elizabeth’s vintage dress by Norman Hartnell as her wedding dress? She also wore a diamond fringe tiara, belonging to Her Majesty The Queen. The tiara was worn by Her Majesty on her wedding day in 1947.
